2018 Recap
It is nice once in a while to take a leisurely stroll down memory lane and remember some of the things that I did in 2018. This is like 5% of it, you can see much more on Instagram @KristyDaum.

While I did have some finishes this year, six to be exact...they weren't all started this year, most were simply finished. Done is done in my book.
I finally decided to give "quilting by paycheck" a try and I'm glad I did because otherwise these would still likely be unfinished. Big thanks to Stitched in Color and Trace Creek Quilting for their creative long-arming.
I also published my quilt pattern, Modern D9P; which has been a hit since it's debut in August. You can check out the details here, and pick up a PDF here.

After 7 years as President of the St. Louis MQG, 2018 was my first year as a regular member having stepped down in 2017. The guild was left in the hands of a fantastic panel of Officers and I've enjoyed being part of the audience.

I saw several shows at the Fox Theater with my Sister and Sister-in-Law including HAMILTON.
My external hard drive crashed in the Summer and left me completely freaked out, thinking I lost everything. That was until my Dad came to the rescue, took it apart and frankenstein'ed it together with an old computer so I could save everything.
In July, I traveled to Maine (my first time there) and taught several quilting workshops and gave a lecture / trunk show at Maine Quilts. Yes, I did eat lobster.
In August, my Sister and I took a road trip to Chicago and had a blast at the museums...even if I did have a panic attack surrounded by all of the taxidermy'ed animals.
I started reading novels again after a long hiatus, and fell in love with the A Discovery of Witches series, coincidentally the author was coming in town in Fall and I was able to hear her lecture.
In September, I experienced my first "real" concert, when my Sister and I saw Ed Sheeran at Busch Stadium.
Looking Forward
2019 has already started off on a high note and I'm looking forward to trying lots of fun new things.
