Let's Catch Up

2017 was a whirlwind; which has left this blog neglected for way too long.  While this site will undergo a little renovation later this year, that is a conversation for another time.

In the meantime, let's catch up...

2017 was the year that I finally stepped down from my position as President of the St. Louis Modern Quilt Guild.  I held that position for 7 years, and while it was bittersweet, it was certainly overdue. The organization was left in excellent hands, and I look forward to returning as a member in a couple of months. If you are in St. Louis, definitely go and check the guild out...you won't be disappointed.

Quilting took a back seat for much of last year, while my "day-job" and family took precedent. It has taken me a long time to find my joy again in needle and thread; but I'm happy to report that it is going very well.

My most ambition project has been making a Pine Burr Beauty quilt; which has been on my Quilty To-Do list before I even knew what that was.  You can check out my progress on Instagram; but for now, I'll leave you with this beloved image of the nearly complete quilt top.
