Essential Guide to Modern Quilt Making
This book has been getting a lot of press lately, have you seen it?
It's called Essential Guide to Modern Quilt Making, from Lucky Spool Media. It is filled with stories, quilts, and patterns from some heavy hitters in the modern quilting industry including Jacquie Gering, Alissa Haight Carlton, Denyse Schmidt and many more.
So, you can imagine my surprise when I was contacted last year by Heather Grant. She had seen my STAR'D quilt and wanted to include in the section she was curating.
I nearly died...my quilt included in a book, and in a section titled A Study of Modern Quilts.
How could I turn that down?
I wrote up a few sentences and Poof! several months later I received my copy in the mail.
I kept this quiet because there was a part of me that thought something would fall through, they would need to make some cuts, etc, etc.
Thanks Heather for thinking STAR'D was awesome, it's one of my Favs too.

P.S. Do you like STAR'D? Want to make your own? The pattern is available in my Etsy or Craftsy shop.

So, you'll forgive me if I squeal {just a little} because I never thought that a piece of my work would ever be published in a book...unless I myself wrote the book. Yet, there it is on page 166 for all to see.
