2015 Recap
These yearly recap posts are a great way to take a leisurely stroll down memory lane and remember some of the things that I may have forgotten about throughout the year. While I'm posting a 2015 Recap in the middle of January, I'm hoping that's not a sign of things to come. There won't be any photos in this year's recap; but you can click into the links to see lots of them.

When I compare 2015's "making" to previous years, it is definitely on the lower end of finished projects. While I did have quite a long creative slump this year; I did still make quite a few things, some of which I blogged about, others I didn't.
Additionally, there were other things that I did this year like updating my blog, redesigning my patterns and connecting with Checker Distributors.
Experienced
QuiltCon started much of the year's experiences for obvious reasons. This is where I met several of the Gee's Bend Quilters and took a workshop with them, learned EPP from Katy Jones and won a pillow she had made, and let's not forget all of the awesome people I got to meet for the first time, or catch up with again. I participated in a 5K with my Dad and Sister on Father's Day.
My Sister and I took a roadtrip to Wisconsin to visit a dear friend of mine and on the way, stopped off in Racine to see my The Tenth quilt at the RAM (Racine Art Museum).
My St. Louis MQG hosted Elizabeth Hartman for a workshop and trunk show this September, and I got to spend quite a lot of time chatting with her.
In October, I took a hand-applique workshop with Carolyn Friedlander, who I had previously met during Quilt Market a few year's back and most frequently at QuiltCon.
Other Things
Some of the time that I wasn't spending behind my sewing machine, I finally started on that large list of To-Do's for my house. The largest of which was renovating my porch; which you can read all about here, I'm Alive & I Have a New Porch.
Then in the past two weeks, I crossed a few other things off of that list too including hanging some doors and creating a pallet wall in my Living Room. I'll be blogging about those relatively soon.

- Participated in the Schnitzel and Boom Mini Quilt Swap
- Sewed 9 pillows for Camelot Fabrics
- Pieced a Quilt Top for the Spring Bloom BlogHop
- Designed and wrote 6 quilt patterns for Windham Fabrics
- Designed and wrote 3 quilt patterns for Camelot Fabrics
- Participated in Christa's "Machine Quilting with Style" BlogHop and made a version of her "Facets" Quilt. She is hosting a Quilt-A-Long which is starting this month, if you are interested
- Pieced several blocks for do.Good.Stitches and the Lou Bee quilting bees.
- Created a block for the Love Wins quilt (3rd row from top, 3rd column from left)
- Made a quilt titled "E Quilt"; which was a companion to a previous "T Quilt" that I made back in 2014...both for a co-worker
