Hanging Around Wall Quilt

I surprised my friend, Mary Claire, yesterday when I made her this wall quilt, as part of our Lou Bee "Sister Swap".  It's been a lovely time spreading cheer to my quilting sisters and I have been honored to receive such lovely delights as well ====>Here and Here.

Fabrics are cut and ready to go...

What a lovely mess trimming HST makes...

I used Cindy Lammon's Hanging Around table-topper pattern, found in her book Simply Modern Christmas.  I highly recommend this book and not just because Cindy is a friend and member of the St. Louis MQG; but because you will find lots of uses for the patterns she creates -----> her blog

I did make a few alterations to the design, some intentional (more scrappy, smaller size), some accidental (whoops!); but who said that you have to copy a pattern stitch for stitch.

Here are the details.

Design:   Hanging Around by Cindy Lammon
Fabrics:    Comma by Zen Chic for Moda, Florence by Denyse Schmidt
Size:   24" x 24"

Happy Sunday !!
