Another Baby Quilt

This little gem was quilted at a small Sew-In on Friday evening and the binding finished on this Super-Bowl Sunday morning.

In talking with my friend about what colors/design concepts they were using in the nursery, he provided the simplest of ideas...Blue and the letter T; which is to be the beginning of their child's name.

I had some layout ideas; but was inspired when I came across a quilt on Pinterest; which I unfortunately can no longer find for proper attribution.

Due to the vertical and horizontal nature of the Letter T, I opted to quilt this diagonally and while my lines got a little swoopy (curved) in a few areas, I am pleased with the overall effect.  The navy polka-dot binding was zig-zagged on, per usual.

This quilt will be given to the Parent's during an office Baby Shower in the next few weeks.  Hopefully it will be well-loved and well-used.

Finished Quilt Measurements: 40" x 54"

Fabrics Used:  Kona -White, DS Quilts Blossom Reel Donut Dot - Blue, DS Quilts Blossom Reel Squares - Blue, a Fabric Traditions polkadot - navy

Happy Sunday!

  4. How clever! I haven't heard the term "Baby Show"...is that the same as a Baby Shower, but the baby is present? Just guessing.
